- Birding Field Trips -
Mt. Shasta Area Audubon is sponsoring North state birding trips this April through July just in time to hear colorful males calling and to see nesting behavior typical for this time of year. More trips may be added as the season progresses so check back to see what’s new.

Morning Bird Walks
Your local Audubon chapter is pleased to offer Saturday morning bird walks at 8:30 AM the first Saturday of each month at Upper Greenhorn Park in Yreka. Additional morning walks may be added for the south county as well so check back to see what’s new.
The Saturday walk at Greenhorn for May 5th is changed. THERE WILL BE NO WALK ON SATURDAY. THERE WILL BE A WALK ON SUNDAY MAY 6TH instead.
There will also be a Sunday morning bird walk on May 20th at 8:30, led by Dr. Steve Nelson.
Migratory Bird Day
Migratory Bird Day will be celebrated on Saturday May 12 at the Shasta Valley Wildlife Area just east of Montague. Details will be arriving here soon.
Birding Trips
Field trips typically last all day with limited restroom stops. Carpooling is required. Bring food, water, binoculars, field guides and comfortable shoes. Dress in layers appropriate for the weather.
